Taking a loan isn’t the only way to get money fast when you’re low on funds. Sometimes it just takes getting creative to obtain the cash you need. Of course, payday loans and auto title loans are possibilities if you have a job and a valid checking account. These options are ideal when paying back the interest fees is feasible. We have a list of options when getting a loan won’t work. As a bonus you can find more ways on this post here.
Take Valuables to a Pawn Shop
If you have things just sitting around that have value, gather them up and go to the local pawn broker. Keep in mind that the pawn broker can only offer you a portion of what they can resell the item for in accordance with its value. This is the fastest and easiest way to obtain money when you need it fast.
It is ideal to contact the pawn broker before going down to the shop. Ask what items they are taking and ask about a few of your items to make sure they’ll take them before hauling them down there.
Sell Gold Jewelry to Jewelers
Gold jewelry that just takes up residence in your jewelry box can make you some money. Many jewelers buy gold, silver and platinum jewelry. Some melt it down and use the gold for their own lines, others resell the gold and some just use the stones. The value of gold changes daily, so if you do not go to the jewelers on a day that they’ve quoted you a great price, you may lose out on several hundred dollars.
Jewelers are unlikely to fill gold plated items as these have very little actual value and the filler reduces the weight of the gold.
Have an Emergency Yard Sale
Use pieces of cardboard or whatever hard paper-like material you have around the house to make signs to hold an emergency yard sale. Gather up item that aren’t used in the home or items you can live without. You can also ask friends and family to donate items to the yard sale to help you if they cannot lend you money to help out.
You should price items to sell and be prepared to negotiate with customers to complete a sale. Every dollar counts, so try not to be too stingy in the negotiating of a sale.
Offer Services to Community Members
Post signage at local grocery stores or libraries and offer services to community members at fair prices. This can include items like grocery delivery, mowing lawns, housecleaning, auto detailing or even handyman duties. This is a good way to make fast cash when you’re in a pinch.
These options are ideal for those that like to earn their money rather than taking loans and borrowing from friends and family members. Obtaining the funds you need from your own, creative efforts is far more rewarding than stressing over repaying a loan with high interest rates and fees. Consider these options when you’re in a pinch and need cash fast.
Those are really quick money offline. Of the four I always resort to taking my valuables to a Pawnshop, which is the quickest among the options. Thanks for the advice Pauline, I found more in the link.

I’ve recently been looking for ways to make some fast cash so I can fund my summer vacation. I have a lot of clutter in my house that I would like to get rid of. Your suggestion to have an emergency yard sale is great advice. I’ll definitely take your advice to price things to sell and hopefully I will be able to make enough cash to fund my summer vacation.
Pawning valuables to a pawn shop seems like a fairly easy and quick way to make money, especially if you have several unique things lying around. That being said, I’ve bought a few things from pawn stores, mainly antique jewelry, but I’ve never pawned anything; however, I would interested in doing so. I will be sure to follow your advice and call ahead first before taking my valuables all the way down to a pawnshop. Fitting my antique chest in my car wouldn’t be worth the effort if I couldn’t sell it. Overall, thank you for sharing pawning tips with me.
These are all really great suggestions to get cash quick. I would really like to get some cash soon, because right now I need to pay some of my bills. I was thinking about just doing a payday loan, but selling valuables at a pawn shop seems like a much easier options! I have quite a few valuables that were left to me once my grandparents passed away, but they have just been sitting in boxes. I am sure that I could get a fairly good amount of money if I sold them. Thanks for the excellent suggestion!
Pauline, the other day I was cleaning out the house and I realized that I have a bunch of stuff that I just don’t use anymore. A lot of them are items of value. I never really thought about taking them to a pawn shop before. I could use a little extra cash right now. I may have to try that!
I really liked your suggestion to sell your items to a pawn shop. You talk about how if you have valuable things just sitting around, going to a pawn broker can get the items off your hands, but give you a reasonable compensation for them. I have never thought about taking my things to someone like this, but it seems like a great option. Thank you for sharing!
I really liked your blog. I’ve been looking around for some quality information, but I always used to end up finding a junk. I found yours content on Bing and I’ll surely be back soon to find some more excellent ideas.

I like your tip to call a pawn shop before hand. That way you’ll know what they are taking. You can even get a loan at a pawn shop with your items as collateral; this seems like a good alternative to selling sometimes.
Well I like what you said,As a junior i want some suggestion. Check my video. Thanks http://ceesty.com/wmofVm
